It's not made with dancing in mind but some of these tracks definitely get me moving. It's contemplative and thoughtful, but also visceral and engaging when it wants to be. This is music that you can actually sit and listen to. You really don't know what's coming in the next bar and I love that. The textures and melodies are gorgeous and enveloping.The percussion gives you just enough to nod along with but provide enough twists and turns to keep you actively engaged while listening. Its the perfect intro to the mixtape, literally telling you that Hi, this is Flume in case you didnt get the memo. It's sound art that happens to absolutely fucking bump at times. The atypical rhythms make this SO much more interesting to me, and I would say this mixtape is certainly not EDM.
